Decent light beer. Good flavor nice texture good mouthfeel. Light feel but not too light. Good hops flavor, not too light either. Good find if you can locate it.

Surprisingly good for a light beer. Good malty flavor and you canít beat the name! (Well, unless you donít like jazz - then you probably couldnít care less about the name)

This was a much prettier beer than I expected it to be. Copper/amber colored with a medium head that disappeared fast. It also blew the regular Dixie Beer to Hell, man that stuff was horrid. On to the negatives: It was not as good as the Crimson or Blackened Voodoo. While more flavorful and fuller bodied than most light beers, it was still a light beer and you can only squeeze so much out of that. Faint malt flavor and aroma was about all it had going for it.

Surprisingly tasty, given that I hadnít expected much from looking at it. Itís a light beer, yes, but it has considerable malt and a full body.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2008 Sweet & fruity nose, fairly dark amber in color. Initially, very smooth and flavorful. Finishes dry, light, and has a quickly fading aftertaste. It kind of teases you; seeing as it starts out with so much potential. But hey, at only 92 calories per 12 ounces, how can you complain?! If you judge it based on calories, itís pretty decent. That said, some flavors faded quickly, behind a wall of dry, carbonated water. But Iíll admit, itís nearly impossible to make a very flavorful, low-calorie beer. RERATE: Sudsy head; clear, light copper hue. Moderate carbonation. Actually had some body to it. Nuts, toast and faint wood. Caramel aroma. Drinkable and not too shabby, as "light" beers go.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2003 With a name like dixie, it better be good, and this stuff was only decent. It is a light beer, but it was really solid and I respected it. A full bodied flavor for a light beer. Much better than that white moose shit they make.

Fairly malty, with hints at caramel/toffee in the aroma, but with metallic overtones in the flavor.
