Geuzelambix (56), København, Denmark May 22, 2008 Not a bad beer but it lacks some aftertaste and some hoppyness, though the spicey front makes a good intro. The least aggressive of the Djævlebryg.
kask (4), Toender, Denmark does not count Jul 7, 2008 Amber color with a small and beige head. It is low carbonated.
Taste has notes of caramel, and then the spices. Its very complex and hard to point out the spices being used, i can taste anis, and a hint of sour fruit.
It could use some more carbonation, apart from that, its a very nice beer, specially if you like beers spiced with more than just hops.
skortila (2388), Bunnik, Netherlands Jun 30, 2008 Tap @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Aroma is spicy (ginger, clove). Clear, red coloured with an off-white head. Taste is sweet, spicy and dry. Not my cup of beer. mirjukka (316), LOHJA, Finland Jun 15, 2008 at Pikkulintu shared bottle with Finnish Ratebierians
Color: amber
Scent:fruits
Taste: sweet malts, dried fruits, flowery, bit hops may be bit too sweet for my taste. Pinball (353), Allerød, Denmark May 27, 2008 really nice aroma, sort of stout like, but not that powerfull. but nice & well rounded. Looks good too, very nice flavor, round, soft, spicy, but not agressive.. good palate, overall a good beer, with a distinct but pleasant taste. Only complaint is it tasted a very little aged and the aftertaste was a little bit cognac like. best before aug.2008, perhaps it’s a little old, i don’t know. Otherwise real great bew FatPhil (2063), Espoo, Finland May 27, 2008 500ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Deep red, thin light head. Sweet fruity aroma - cakey. Honey, doughy, even floury taste. Sweet spice - clove - reminiscent of some sweet spicy cake I can’t identify right now. Too sweet and doughy, but pretty easy to drink. Ferment this a bit more, eh, guys?
