Geuzelambix (62), København, Denmark May 19, 2008 A hoppy ale with a fresh taste. The palate is gentle and the flavor is bitter, a tad edgy and energy giving. Maybe not spectacular, but my favorite of the Djævlebryg.
Hansen (1680), Randers, Denmark Aug 31, 2008 Ølfestival 208, Århus. Clear and dark golden Has a lasting head, off-white. Aroma is hoppy, spicy, mint. Flavor is mainly bitter. Dry texture. Madsnp (112), Odense C, Denmark Aug 24, 2008 Bottle. Copper coloured with a creamy off white head. Aromas of grass, malt and grapefruit. Flavour of bitter hops, pine and soap. Aroma has hops, citrus/grapefruit. Hazy, amber coloured with an off-white head. Taste is bitter, bit dry, has some grass and pine.Bit malty as well. Fruity. Good. JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Jun 25, 2008 Amber-copper beer; good but vanishing cream-coloured head. Beautiful grapefruit nose, sucade as well; well-balanced. Soft bittersweet taste, again sucade or preserved orange. Very slick MF, bit sticky. Very good, hoppy, and yet balanced ale.
