(Bottled) Very dark brown with a medium, beige head. Sweetish, very malty, roasty aroma with some milky sourness and hints of licorice. Very roasty (but not burned), licoricey flavor with medium bitterness, some malt sweetness, and a long, roasty finish. Medium to full-bodied, smooth-carbonated. A very balanced and enjoyable, strong-flavored stout.

Jun 2, 2008 Deep dark brown coloured. Coffee and licorice in the nose. Hints of roasted malts, coffee and vanilla taste. Slightly better to my taste than the Stout.

May 25, 2008 When I first had it, I liked it better than I do now. It’s wonderfully burned in the taste but also a tad watery. The aftertaste is quite bitter.

May 24, 2008 Bottled @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Aged version. Dark color. Aroma of oak, coffee, roasted malt, rye. Malty taste, bit sticky good bitterness. Nice.

May 22, 2008 Black colored brew. Roasted malts, liquorice aroma. Flavor had got roasted malts too, sweet. Nice one.

May 20, 2008 Pitch black with large brown short lasting head. Sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt, coffee, liquerice and dark bitter chocolate. Mild smoked flavor with roasted malt, dark bitter chocolate, coffee and liquerice notes. Nice.
