COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Dark Beast is a Cascadian Dark Ale aka. Black IPA. Dark Beast is a dry and slightly burnt ale with US hops prominent in aroma as well as taste.

Lovley seductive black, with a thin cream head. Caramel and hints of hops in the aroma. Taste is balanced between the coffee bitterness and the floral, bitter hops. A very drinkable black IPA indeed :) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown body, some red hues, light brown head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, and some undefinable hops. Taste is more to the dark side, chocolate, coffee, than to the IPA side, with a slight pine touch. Medium body with medium carbonation. Unfortunately, the style is not to my liking.

330 ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Black color with beige brown head. Roasted malty aroma, coffee, light chocolate. Hoppy too. Light sweet and bitter taste, coffee and hoppy bitterness. Light to medium body, oily, soft carbonation.

A black IPA is never out of place, and this one is pretty cool. Aroma is roasted dark malts and some herbs and the taste is dark caramel, deep grapefruit, licorice, earth and brimstone... I like Djævlebryg’s attitude and I can’t wait to get some more from them. Satans gode øl

33 cl systembolaget. Drack denna på hotellrum i Malmö. Kanske min största öl besvikelse någonsin. Smakade bara trist.

(Djævlebryg Dark Beast) Bottle 330 ml, from a trade with skullgeorge at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Poured into a tulip glass, ABV 6.5% Almost totally black in colour, with a tall and thick brown head on top, with excellent retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy, with citrus, orange peel, fresh cut grass, pine, while some roast character surfaces after a swirl of the glass. Taste also hoppy, grass, pine, with a sharp bitterness followed by roasted malts, coal, hints of dark chocolate. Finish is bitter again, milder now, the aftertaste too. Medium body, lively carbonation. Nice dryness on the palate. Very good.

En god svart lager men en tråkig svart IPA. De brända tonerna tar över helt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
