COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Eklipse er en let og forfriskende bryg, hvor vi har ladet malten træde i baggrunden for at give plads til amerikansk og new zealandsk humle. I folkemunde en pale ale - i djævlemunde en Satans god tørstslukker!

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2011 Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear amber with large fluffy off-white head. Hoppy aroma with tropical fruits and gooseberries, i suppose there is some Nelson Sauvin in here. Lightbody, a bit overcarbonated. Dry with long bitterness. Very refreshing.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a lacing and white head. Aroma is roasted malt and light yeasty. Mild fruity and yeasty. Slight spiced. Bitter and peachy fruity. Bitter and citrusy. Mild mellow and yeasty too. Crisp fruity finish.

Rating #400: 0.5l bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Pours a really nice deep orange body with some yeasty residues and a big dense lasting off-white head. Aroma is nice and fruity with strong hops, mild malts, strong sweet caramel and some toffee. A nice and full-bodied beer, smooth and almost creamy texture and it’s average carbonated. Really nice flavors, mainly caramel on top of a good malt-base. Light bitter, fruity and really nice aftertaste with peach and orange. Sweet without being to sweet and it’s not fancy schmancy in any way, just a plain good old APA.

A devils brew min sjæl! Brown, hazy, with a frothy head. A hint of apricot and lots of hops. Bitter with appeal, temptingly coarse and honest. A tørstslukker for sure.

Bottle, shared with Palme at my 1000-rating tasting, 16th of May 2011. :-) Body is hazy deep orange, with a big, creamy white head. Looks absolutely fantastic in my glass. Nose is fruity tones of apricot, sweet peaches and grass, along with hints of pale malts underneath it all. Taste is more fruity tones, apricot and peaches with light tones of maple syrup and hints of grass. Very nice indeed. A sweet, yet utterly drinkable pale ale from Djævlebryggeriet. Too bad they’re not coming to the beer festival in Copenhagen this year, I’m eager to taste more of their products.

Karakteristisk humleduft, en favorit-øl med letbitter eftersmag, ravgylden i farven...

Copenhagen Beer Festival. Round, flowery and aromatic, piney dry finish. A splendid session beer, just what they needed to offer a full range. A Djævlebryg bar could be an idea, though I wonder about the clientelle...

Backlog. One of my favourite APAs... Shame it’s so hard to find these days.

Cloudy golden color, big lasting off-white head. Big fruity, floral, citrus, hoppy taste. Bitterenss well balanced and not dominating. A bit moussy mouthfeel. Hoppy floral and citrus scent.
