COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Previously brewed by Djævlebryg at Brøckhouse, Hillerød, Denmark.

English: Mystikale is a top-fermented red-brown beer inspired by Sottish as well as Danish brewing traditions. Mystikale is brewed with 6 different spices, among others liqourice root and hip shell, which give the beer a complex and intriguing taste. Mystikale goes very well with traditional Danish lunch and spiced poultry dishes.

Sweet herby caramel taste. Not to high on alchohol. Nice drinkability factor. Typical danish style ale.

Little spontaneous foam located in this beer. The scent is very subtle fruity. It tastes sour and spicy and is at first mouthful very difficult to define. As I get used to it can deduce a light caramelized hue mixed flavors of melon and raisin. It is a very different beer, and I can not quite decide myself whether I like it or not. One moment you will find something tasteful and well in it. A moment later, it is again the slightly tangy flavor that is prominent. I do not think it’s a beer I buy again.

2012.10.11 - bottle 50cl - amber beer - nose : particular flavour, a bit like a paint product, cinnamon, spicy - mouth - strange !! spicy and sweetness - beer with own odeur and taste, respect for that (but it’s not my cup of tea). Too spicy (makes me think of brewery ’de Graal’, for which i have a lot sympathy, but slow down guys when you add your spices !), strange, strange end. Christmas-beer-look-a-like.

Dark amber color with a average size beige head. Sweet and all to spicy aroma and taste. All too spicy/special for my taste.
