COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Previously brewed by Djævlebryg at Brøckhouse, Hillerød, Denmark.

English: An accumbent experience; that is one way of describing the adventure ’Nekron’. A discrete smoky character from both peat and beech smoked malt defines the bottom layer. In the middle, a light caramel sweetness and the vinous alchohol take over. The roasted malts and barley add notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted rye bread. The moderate hop bitterness mixes willingly with the whole. Nekron can easily stand alone but enjoys the company of heavier dishes or chocolate rich desserts.

Bottle. Close to black with a medium sized light brown diminishing head that leaves little lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, light ashy, light citrus hops. Taste is medium sweet and light/medium bitter with a light acidic touch. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Lingering roasted malt in the finish with some light bitterness.

02-MAR-2013, bottle @home, from Høkeren. Dark brown with light brown, lacing head. Roasted aroma with a touch of malty tartness. Taste is roasted with coffee and roast - almost burnt. Quite hoppy with citric hops. Creamy with soft carbonation. Very find stout.

[Thanks to fonefan]. 50cl bottle. Black colour with a minimal and quickly dissapearing tan head. Aroma is licorice, light smoky, chocolate and toasty. Flavor has the same characteristics as aroma dominating the coffee notes but without disturb. On palate results creamy, smooth and rounded, very good compensated.

500ml bottle. A very dark beer with a beige head and some lacing. A little sweetness mixed in the aroma of roasted malts, smoke and chocolate and a hint of hops. Medium body with medium soft carbonation, creamy with a bitter finish. Flavor is sweet with roasted malts and coffee, chocolate and smoke with just a little hops in the bitter finish. An all out great rounded stout. No abrupt shifts in flavor from start to finish. I like.

Sample from 50 cl. bottle. Black with a small, tan head. Aroma with roasted malts, chocolate, light smoke and coffee. Sweet taste. Medium to full body with a creamy and pleasant texture. Palate is excellent for a stout. Finishes quite sweet with roasted and caramel malts, coffee, peat and licorice. A very good stout. Highly recommended, Djævlebrygs best.
