COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Previously brewed by Djævlebryg at Brøckhouse, Hillerød, Denmark.

English: An accumbent experience; that is one way of describing the adventure ’Nekron’. A discrete smoky character from both peat and beech smoked malt defines the bottom layer. In the middle, a light caramel sweetness and the vinous alchohol take over. The roasted malts and barley add notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted rye bread. The moderate hop bitterness mixes willingly with the whole. Nekron can easily stand alone but enjoys the company of heavier dishes or chocolate rich desserts.

Pitch black with a nice dense brown head. Intense aroma of roasted, sleightly smoked malts, raw liquirice and a bit of tar. Nice broad flavor, with bitter hobs comming through, but with pure chocolate and again liquirice as the dominating bitterness that really really sticks. Bitter chocolate finish.

[Bottle, thanks Marsiblursi] Black with dark head that diminishes quickly. Strong coffee taste, somewhat bitter, roasted taste comes through. Also possibly a little bit of a fruity taste there, although I’m not sure what it is. Nice one.

Bottled. Thanks Marsiblursi. Black with brown head. Smooth and velvetty aroma with cocoa, lavender up front and tad smokey. Chewy mouthfeel and very flavourful and also very salty. Lots of salvia here, with backup from black currant and juniper. A foreign Stout to me, with, I’d guess 50 IBU’s.

Pours black with a light brown head. Roasted coffee aroma with liquorice and an underlying fruitiness. Some blackberries and black currant. Tiny smoked and some asphalt. Heavy roasted, salty and light smoked flavour with coffee, asphalt, liquorice, mint and some smoke. Some dark berries in the flavour as well. Some bitterness and a bit dry. Heavy, oily and smooth mouthfeel with a near full body. Lingering tartness.

[Bottle from Els sampled with the Blood-bros’.] A very nice look with a brown head, which lets my mouth getting wet. Lots of notes such as licorice, coffechocs, bitterness, some fruits and weak smoke, maybe. Fullbodied. Dry finish!

Bottle. Restrained aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Pitch black with rich light-brown creamy head. Roasted malts and an almost rauchbier-like roastedness dominates the taste. Taste is very much like a richer version of son of nekron, thus a little better but still not my cup of tea/beer. Not bad, but I’ll probably not buy this beer another time.
