English: An accumbent experience; that is one way of describing the adventure ’Nekron’. A discrete smoky character from both peat and beech smoked malt defines the bottom layer. In the middle, a light caramel sweetness and the vinous alchohol take over. The roasted malts and barley add notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted rye bread. The moderate hop bitterness mixes willingly with the whole. Nekron can easily stand alone but enjoys the company of heavier dishes or chocolate rich desserts.

Tap. This had fantastic malt flavor upfront and a pleasant bitterness that wasn’t overpowering. The smokey aftertaste was very good and not overpowering. Excellent overall.

Bottle. Pours a thick pitch black with small beige head. Aroma is really roast and loads og dark malts. Coffee, dark bread and chocolate. Taste is all the same, but more chocolate. Really smooth and silky mouthfeel despite the robust malts. Really balanced and round. Has the dry chocolate finish with some bitterness.

Excellent beer. Roasty, black chocolate, great balance. Bitter finish. Very creamy black pour with mocha head and lacing. Creamy texture with a little oil but pulls off thick without being syrupy. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown.

Opaque black with thick, tan head. Aroma has raw, bitter licorice and coffee. Flavour has more coffee, a lot of hop bitterness well balanced with alcohol and semi-sticky sweetness. Finish is slightly rough. All in all a very nice beer.

The aroma of chocolate and light coffee. The taste is heavy and dry coffee. Good bitterness that fills the mouth forever. Incredibly much coffee flavor in the beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

(33 cl bottle from Toft Vin) Pours black with a medium, creamy, tan head. Decent retention and beautiful lace. Aroma is dark with smoky notes as well as hints of booze and roasted malt. Creamy texture, soft carbonation, full body and a smoked and roasted finish. Flavour is very complex and quite filling and demanding. Smoke, rye bread, a bit of alcohol and maybe coffee. Not particularly sweet but this only suits it. Very interesting and well executed.
