English: Old Mephisto is a big beer: Full, warming and intense. Old Mephisto offers balanced sweetness, roasted caramel and a rounded bitterness - all held together by the vinous character. The inviting brandy coloured Old Mephisto can be enjoyed with strong cheeses, full game dishes or on its own.

500 ml bottle poured a cloudy brown with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of prunes, dates, toffee, figs and carmel. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a smooth warming finish. Flavors of carmel, toffee, dates, fig and light prunes with a smooth warming lingering dried fruit finish.

50cl bottle @ Monks Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm. Hazy red color, full sized beige head that leaves a decent lacing. Smell malts, some sweetness, slightly sweetish-alcohol. Taste malts, lightly roasty malts, some alcohol, some caramel, lightly coffee, very nice. Full body, medium carbo.

Cloudy light amber color. Aroma is loaded with caramel, toffee, oak, light hops and some good rich fruity notes. Flavor is sweet and finishes with a very light hop bite. I really enjoy the caramel and toffee notes in this.

Bottle. Local gathering. Pours a cloudy dark brown colour with a nice light brownish head laving a fair lacing. Vinious, caramel, chocolate, malty, sweet hoppy aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is quitesweet with dark fruits, chocolate, roasted malt and caramel, sirup, fruity hops, and some alcohol. Long lasting bitter-sweet finish. Great brew.

Mahogany-red with a huge, nice, creamy and lasting head. The aroma is alluring and spreads upon opening. It has notes of roasted malt, caramel, pine, dark fruits like figs and raisin. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, a touch of pine and alcohol and some raisin at the end. The aroma did promise more that the flavour had to offer, but it’s nice, and it probably will age nicely.
