Bottle at christmas eve 2011. Was looking forward to this one. Gold winner at Stockholm beer festival 2010. The body of this barley wine had a marvelous caramel colour. But only a small white head. The nose was acid and light fruity. It made it a bit hard to drink. At first it was to cold. But when it got room temperature it got better. A nice fruity and caramel flavour. Actually a well hidden alcohol flavour.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear ruby, small creamy head. Very sweet and really caramelly. Full bodied with syrupy mouthfeel, notes of coffee and cardboard. Stick salty finish. Too sweet and rough.

Bottle from BarleyWine, Copenhagen (batch OM001). Virtually no head. Body is dark amber. Aroma is moderately malty (molasses, malt syrup), moderately yeasty (dough, sweat), with notes of alcohol, brown sugar. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, soft/flat carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic. Another dumper from Djaevlebryg, doggone it. Lots of raw yeast, various sugar aromas, and not much else. As consistently awesome as Gudelos is, they sure do have some shitty beers in their lineup.

Lätt koralartad ton i en tämligen svag arom.
Kolasirap i färg. Vacker. Stadigt ljust skum.
Vattning, vinös smak och en kemisk sötma. En varmt mjuk beska stiger sakta i eftersmaken.
