3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ungstrup (23960) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 12, 2008
Draft on mix gas. A pitch black beer with a dense dark brown head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by chocolate, but also with light notes of citrusy hops and alcohol, in general the aroma is quite light - which might be because it is served on mixed gas. The flavor is very sweet and very malty with strong notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and alcohol - a very powerful flavor, but a bit over the top for me - or is it just because it is young? The mouthfeel is very smoot due to the mixed gas.

Nice liqourice and mild coffee note in addition. Slowly declining black currant flavour. Nice lingering roasted malt and liqourish into the finish. Light hops bitterness in the far finish.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 faroeviking (8805) - HAITI - MAY 7, 2008
Draught. Pitch black colour, medium well lasting light brown head leaving a good lacing. Aroma of sweet dark fruits, well roasted malt, some chocolate and alcohol. Rather thin mouthfeel for an Imp. Stout. Flavour of roasted malt and dark fruits, fair bitterness, chocolate and alcohol. Disappointing imp. stout.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Defreni (1929) - Husum, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2008
UPDATED: MAY 5, 2008 Fad. Tyk motorolie der tog en evighed at skænke. Meget brændt med en god del humle til at bakke den op. Ikke en fantastisk kompleks imperial stout men rigtig godt håndværk.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Geuzelambix (229) - København, DENMARK - MAY 3, 2008
The first impression of this beer, which was released today, was that aroma was rather weak. With a beer of that intense color and great foam, you’ll expect more. The taste however was not weak at all - filled with bitterness, burned notes and a long lasting after taste. It was not very sweet. Wonderful creamy palate with a gentle but important corbonation.
