COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Previously brewed by Djævlebryg at Brøckhouse, Hillerød, Denmark.

English: This beer is worthy of the Dark Lord. In both smell and taste it is a true orgy of the senses: Burnt, bitter and sweet. Savory and warming, full bodied and complex. Pride of Nekron is simply put a majestic meal in itself.

Ølfestival 208, Århus. Black. Beige head, lasting. Looks promicing, but there isn’t much aroma, light burnt, perhaps coffee. Flavor, lots of bitter-sweet notes. Long duration. More coffee.

Draft - Black body, huge creamy brown head; Beautiful deep roasted nose, a little to simple; Smooth carbonation on smooooth but still quite hop bitter body; lots of aroma in finish, roasted chocolate, a very little grain, It has a very special fruity aroma and feel I have never experienced before.

Bottle. Huge thick creamy brown head that really lasted. Excellent display of lacework. Pitch black color. A complex mixture of burned, sweet, smoked and bitter notes hits nose. Also liquorish, berries, vinous, burned malt, underlying floral and pin notes as well with a bit of coffee and bitter chocolate. Full bodied with an average carbonation and thick alcoholic and oily texture. Heavy sweet and bitter flavor in balance. Lingering English liquorish finish.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 17, 2008
Black colored with huge beige head. Salty and licoricy aroma with vinous-smoky touch and some caramelly roastiness. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is, after salty aroma, more sweet and roasted with caramel and coffee. Aftertaste is slighly alcoholic with roastiness and salt still. Again interesting, as I said salty brew from djavle.

[Sampled at DØE-festival with Helga, Søren and Anne, Århus 2008.] A very great beer with black look and brown head. Notes of great roasted malts, smoke, wood, coffee, some chocs. Dryness and vanilla also. Good finish and a big wish for more.

(Draught at Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 24 July 2008) Black colour with firm, creamy, brown head. Roasted, malty nose with sweet espresso, salty liquorice, soy sauce and tar. Malty, roasted taste with notes of liquorice, sweet and strong espresso and soy sauce. Full bodied, powerful, fairly sweet and with a distinct cocoa bitterness. Sheer power and elegance combined. Another one, please!
