COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Previously brewed by Djævlebryg at Brøckhouse, Hillerød, Denmark.

English: This beer is worthy of the Dark Lord. In both smell and taste it is a true orgy of the senses: Burnt, bitter and sweet. Savory and warming, full bodied and complex. Pride of Nekron is simply put a majestic meal in itself.

Draft at Sergio’s, served in a nonic glass. Pours a deep, nearly opaque brown with a finger of tan head. Aroma of roasted and smoked malts, dark chocolate, earth, nuts, and toast. Flavor of milk chocolate, cocoa beans, fudge, earth, toffee, toast, and lighter roast and smoke. Medium-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a chalky, earthy, gritty, mildly roasty mouthfeel. This had a creeping hint of oxidation that made me think (along with my surroundings) that the keg may have been pretty old. Still, pretty good imperial stout.
