COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Previously brewed by Djævlebryg at Brøckhouse, Hillerød, Denmark.

English: This beer is worthy of the Dark Lord. In both smell and taste it is a true orgy of the senses: Burnt, bitter and sweet. Savory and warming, full bodied and complex. Pride of Nekron is simply put a majestic meal in itself.

Dark with beige head. Weak aroma of chocolate. Very sweet and bitter and taste with some chocolate and nougat. Sweet and bitter aftertaste. Both the sweetness and bitterness is too much for me, and I think this beer is more in typical example of what "unbalanced" is.

Pours black with a compact low mocha head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, burned muscovado sugar, slightly charred Wood and liqourice. Taste is coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, muscovado sugar, slight liqourice. Not as charred or heavy as the nose implies. Mouthfeel is quite creamy with low carbonation. Aftertaste brings forth slightly charred wood notes along with some creamy vanilla. Nice!

It’s simply too bitter for me. Not a bad beer but would be better IF sweeter. Not again.
