3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ClubGonzo (2718) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 22, 2012
Bottle. Pours a hazy deep orange body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is grassy noble hops, pale malts, hints of melon and caramel. A bit faint. Taste is smooth grass and resinous hop tones and hints of herbs. Very neutral, but somehow still flavorful. Full body, soft carbonation. A strange beer, and I guess in many ways suited for its thematic profile.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TEJA (1156) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 3, 2012
Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden.
Big, lasting beige head. Very clowdy orange color.
A small but fine hop aroma that I think goes more towards herban then floral in its charater. Hop domitate the tate and some chrystal malts balasing and a fine litle sparkle. I agree with their statment that it isn’t American nor English IPA or pale ale, just a nice hoppy alt that probably will go fine with hearty food.

draft at Blue Monk. Copper colored pour. Fruit forward notes of graprefruit & peach. decent bitterness, far from a hop bomb but balanced with floral & fruity hops & caramel malt backbone.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 CarlJonas (135) - Linköping, SWEDEN - OCT 19, 2012
Cloudy dark amber liquid with a big white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma of British marmalade with hints of toffee, could be stronger. The taste is quite bitter-sweet reminding me once again of British marmalade. Medium carbonation with lots of tiny bubbles and medium mouth feel. Pretty long bitter after-taste. I can see why the brewery prefers not to call it an APA since it’s definitely more of a hybrid between English and American brewing traditions.

Bottle.
Amber with a beige head leaving lacing.
Aroma: biscuits, dry grass, light sour, what fruit?, floral.
Taste: quite bitter, light sour, grass and hay, orange zest, floral and soapy bitterness, a feeling of pollen.
Medium-bodied, a slightly grainy feel to it.
Not a personal favourite.
