COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Brewed by Djævlebryg at Brøckhouse, Hillerød, Denmark.

Brewers note: This beer is NOT brewed as an American Pale Ale. It is not brewed to suit a certain style which is why we call it a "hoppy ale".

English: Both the British and Americans are good at using hops - in slightly different ways. We have combined the best from both traditions and created Schopenhauers Vilje ("Schopenhauer’s Will"), a beautiful amber coloured ale with a floral character, caramel notes and - like the philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer - a good portion of bitterness. This brew can be enjoyed on a hot summer’s day, a cool evening or accompanied by e.g. poultry dishes.

En gyllengul APA. Fruktig doft av aprikoser, persika och röd grape. Rejäl grapebeska, stor fruktighet, rena fina smaker och en fin grapeeftersmak. Väldigt välgjord och smakrik utan att vara en humlebomb.

500 ml bottle. BB 06/08/2014. (Systembolaget) Östersund, Sweden. Cloudy amber golden colour with small white head. Fruity hops, malt and mild sourness in aroma. Floral and fruity hops, some resiny notes, caramel malt and bitterness in flavour. Quite sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

@ Basunen: en mycket kryddig doft. Smaken är den samma tillsammans med trevlig humle. Fin beska och en god eftersmak. Mycket god. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at a tasting. It poured a light hazy golden liquid with a white head. Smell of freshly baked bread and a hint of hops. Similar taste. Fairly nice even though the flavours are a bit mild. Could have used a bit more hops.

Interesting and pretty drinkable. Nice malt backbone and little hop kick with spicy herbal hops. Interesting but not the best offering by the guys that brought you Gudelos!

50cl bottle, thanks to onkelgobber. Pours cloudy amber with a thin layer of lace that hangs around. Nose of grapefruit, perhaps orange with pith on the end. Taste of more grapefruit, then sweetness, maybe apricot. Palate is balanced, sweetness on the end which balances the bitterness nicely. Great pale ale, heading towards a bitter slightly.
