COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Formerly brewed by Djævlebryg at Brøckhouse, Hillerød, Denmark.

English: Son of Nekron is a top-fermented porter. We use peat smoked malt which gives the beer a distinct smoked character. The roasted malts and dark muscovado sugar turn Son of Nekron into an almost pitch-black beer and add touches of coffee, chocolate, and peat smoke. Son of Nekron goes very well with stews and heavier dishes.

Dark chocolate is dominant in the aroma, but there are some vineous alcoholic notes as well as some faint burnt wood and tobaco tones. Almost pitch black with beige head. A bit sweet but not much, mostly is pretty well balances between sweetness and bitterness. None of them stick out. The chocolate is the main player in the taste as well but burnt wood and coffe is pretty apperant.. Finish is a bit dark chocolate bitter. Full body, creamy, average carbonation. A very good and well balanced imperial stout.

Backlog. While it doesn’t quite live up to it’s bigger brother (Pride) this is still a good beer well worth the try.

Sort, med fyldigt, tæt skum. Aroma: mørk lakrids. Røg, ristet malt og mere lakrids, god skarp og tør bitterhed mod slutningen og i eftersmag.

Sample@sbwf’13. Iirc this was some sort of aged version. Which was apparent- salty licorice, with vinous malty dark roasty flavours. Nice.

Bottled. Pours black in color, bubbly tan head. Dark barrels woodyness and some light vinous notes in aroma. Roasted coasted, light chocolate notes. Feels a bit thin, not that much of flavor here. Some roasted notes towards the net.
