Maria (3963), Thisted, Denmark Jul 19, 2008 If you expect a boring Danish ”Guld øl”, you are about to be disappointed. This beer har a warm, golden color with a somewhat ugly grey hue and a creamy head. The aroma is fruity and floral. The flavour has notes of fruits, flower and a pleasant, light malty sweetness. The finish has a touch of citrus and alcohol. I have an auto-response when I see the word ”Guld” on a beer bottle, so this was a nice surprise. (120508) chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England May 21, 2008 Bottle, courtesy fonefan. Hazy gold colour. Rather odd spicy, fruity notes in the aroma. Almost like that perfumed Belgian yeast feel. More estery fruit notes on the palate. Slightly odd but not unpleasant but I’m not sure that it has turned out as intended. Certainly not a typical pale lager.
