Dark brown with a huge, nice, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has a very light sourness and notes of roasted malt, raisin and alcohol. The flavour has sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel, dark fruits, light alcohol and the finish has a hoppy bitterness. It’s a nice beer.

Bottle @ home.
Clear medium amber color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, grass, light yeasty, brown sugar notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (120508)

Bottled. Deep amber colour with lots of particles floating around. Small beige head. The aroma is very bready, malty and has some signs of alcohol. Flavour is also bready, lots of malts as well as alcohol mild spices and very sweetish notes.

Bottle, courtesy fonefan. Mid brown colour. Creamy caramel aroma. Fruity malt flavour. Quite sweet but with some tart notes. There’s a late herbal bitterness and a surprising acidity in the aftertaste. Maybe borderline infected but not too unpleasant. If anything this adds a bit of character that might have been lacking in a cleaner beer. Doesn’t taste 7.8%. Interesting but I’m not sure it is one I’d rush back to - not a style I’m particularly keen on anyway.
