COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bockbieranstich: mid-October.

It’s beautiful red mahogany with a golden, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, syrup, prunes/dark fruit, caramel and nuts. The sweet flavor has notes of caramel, chocolate, dark fruits, nuts, hints of licorice and the finish is slightly dry with notes of licorice. Really lovely DB.

Bottle: Clear, ruby-amber coloured with a small off-white foamy layer, sweet caramelly nose, some dried fruits detectable; moderate sweet flavour with a very subdued bitterness, not too full bodied; shorter sweet caramelly and fruity finish. Good, but not really exciting…

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, slightly ruby chestnut-brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Bready toasty malty aroma with notes of caramel, draff and a whiff of chocolate and alcohol-soaked berries and cherries. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Toasty malt-character with caramel, slightly vinous fruity notes and dark chocolate; sweet and delicately hop bitter toast-malty finish with hints of chocolate and subtle fruity notes in the aftertaste. A gem. 01.XI.13
