COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle (333ml): A bit unclear, small off-white head, dark-malty, a bit toasted nose with a light acidity; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied for a beer of 5.6%; lingering bitter-sweet finish with traces of cacao and caramel. No great pleasure........

It’s mahogany red with a huge, creamy head and notes of roasted malt, caramel and light licorice. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, licorice, caramel and the finish is slightly dry.

(33cl bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a short off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty, sweet and lightly toasty malty nose with vanilla and very subtle fruity accents (berries). Light-bitter flavour, light body impression, lively carbonation. Slightly toasty, very subtle fruity taste; moderately sweet malt-accented and a bit slim finish. Nothing special (23.01.08).

Bottle bought at the Fränkisches Freilandmuseum. A bittersweet, dark chestnut brown beer with a beige head. Hoppy and quite malty.
