COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ABV 5% 25 IBU’s The flag-ship Dock Street recipe brewed fresh right here at our local brewery in West Philly. Brewed with American Cascade hops and 2-row pale and caramel malts. It is full bodied, exceptionally balanced and always admired for its clean smooth finish.

For all the strange twist and changes in ownership Dock Street has went through it’s amazing that its still being brewed. I was happy to see its return to my local bar in bottles. I enjoyed a few Dock Street’s the other night. It has a hoppy bitterness I enjoy that reminds me of a ’light’ version of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

One of my favorite ambers. The color is a deep reddish amber with excellent clarity. Very appealling in a pint glass. It has a very unique refreshing taste with hops that permeate a smell and taste of mint. Not overpowering in flavor, but crisp and smooth. Very refreshing. Good with crawfish.

A ’sissy’ brew! Not too much authority nor body. definitely apathetic on this one!

Ah, I remember this as a burnout favorite. Lightly fruity yet bold. I liked the hops. All the neo-hippies like this stuff.

Haven’t had this in almost 10 years, but I recall it having an almost apricot-like character. (I might feel differently about it if I try it now, though).

definitly worth the extra dough. buy the sampler pack, all dock street’s brews are outstanding; illuminator is their best.

A very nice amber ale in most ways. has well balanced malt and hop flavours so that it is sweet but not cloying and maintains a nice hoppy finish

The only sub-standard quality of this beer is its unspectacular appearance. Wonderful bouquet with the hint of hops appearing nicely in the body as well. This beer has an excellently shaped body, particularly for a beer of its style. Quite a smooth, refreshing drink with few detracting attributes.
