Draught at TDR: Aroma of malt, hops, and pine. Poured dark orange/copper/brown in color with a large, creamy, dense, tan head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Very hazy. Not sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of malt, roasting, pine, resin, and a hint of chocolate. Medium body. Sticky, dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hop, roast, resin, pine finish is lightly sweet, medium to heavily bitter, and dry. 8.2%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Barcade, Philadelphia 10oz ($6): Pours a dark brown color with a brownish head. Aroma is somewhat standard for a black IPA: lots of piny hops with a roasted malt backbone. While drinking this beer, it doesn’t come off as really massive. The two aspects of the beer sort of balance each other out. Mouth feel is kind of thick and really sticks to your mouth. Quite good, and it has the word jawn in it, which is Philadelphian for everything.
