GABF 2009: Pours a hzed charred golden with little to no head retention. Nose is flat chocolate and some dog poo. Flavors are dull, mundane, a touch grainy but not in a good way. Not overly sour either. everything seems to be lost here.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TheCaptain (613) - Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2009
Served on tap at The Grey Lodge in Philly-
Hazy brown pour, low head simmers away quick. Sour and salty with malts and sour milk on the nose through the palate. Muddled sourness, sour milk up front with a bacteria like flavor - weird!
1.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 MrChopin (2213) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 16, 2009
Draft at Devil’s Den. Moderate brown with a very thin off-white head. Nose is lactic vomit, completely off-putting and the worst nose I’ve ever smelled. The flavor carries some of the milk notes and adds slight lemon tart, but the dunkel qualities in malt and caramel dominate. Moderate body, considerable carbonation. The nose kills this one off. There are many things to appreciate in life, but the scent of vomit is not one of them.

Well this was an interesting experiment in brewing. I can’t say it was really good but it certainly was different. On tap at The Grey Lodge, served in a shaker glass. Hazy brown with a small but lasting head. The nose was sour milk and chocolate. Odd. Even weirder was the flavor which had notes of coleslaw, pepper, and vinegar. Very different than anything I have ever had before adn I am glad that I tried it but I don’t think I ever need to have it again.

Brewed in the USA.... On tap at the Grey lodge in Philly. Pours a chestnut brown color with zero head. Aroma of malts, sour milk and rye. Taste of coleslaw, malts, toffee and sour candy. Mouthfeel was very mild with a medium body. I was hoping this would be fantastic !!! But it was average at best.
