Hawksfan17 (662), Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 29, 2008 Pours a hazy orange gold with no head. Smells of light hops and flowers with notes of orange. Hop flavor, bitter on the end with a little hint of fruit. Smooth finish with a tangy aftertaste.
dmtroyer (378), Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA Aug 14, 2008 By far my favorite of the sampler. I agree with can8ianben that they need to remove their descriptor of "pale ale" from the menu, this is far from an american pale ale! Nose was extremely floral, spicy, yeasty and fruity. Body followed suit with the bit of banana one often comes to expect, but a surprisingly spritz of hops on the dry finish. Mouthfeel is almost perfect with good weight from the ingredients but good carbonation to keep it alive. Well done! can8ianben (668), Pasadena, California, USA Aug 14, 2008 They have to change the name of this... I instantly thought "oh great, another sucky pale lager", but was plesantly surprised to find a complex, almost belgian style beer. Lovely mouthfeel, interesting hop additions, and smooth drinkability. I was sad my glass was empty! TomDecapolis (2545), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA May 3, 2008 On tap at the brew pub. Pours a hazy golden with orange notes and a medium creamy/bubbly off white head. Aroma of mixed citrus, cereal grains, vanilla, light oak and fresh hops. Flavor was pretty hoppy, light oak, cereal grains, citrus notes and what seemed like American oak. hopdog (4779), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA May 3, 2008 On tap at the Dock Street Brew Pub. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of floralness, citrus, and a trace of oak. Tastes of citrus, vanilla, and light oak in the finish. Lively body with a dry finish.
