Hazy golden color with a medium head that quickly dimished, leaving lighter lacing on the glass. Aroma of lemon, lacto funk, and some green apple. Taste of bread, lemon, tart wheat, and a tart lactic finish. Better than a lot of Berliner examples out now.

Pours light hazy yellow with a decent creamy white head. Aroma is light tart. Yeast, clean with a wheaty backbon. Flavor bring smooth acidity, not puckering at al. It has a pleasant refreshing wheat profile blended with the tart yeast quite well, notes of lightly sweet and zesty lemon.

Wandered into Johnny Brenda’s on a comfortable summer afternoon for a pint of Johnny Berliner. Cloudy yellow green beer with a sweet tartness, light body and lemon undertones. Quite enjoyable summer beer.

Johnny Brenda’s, Philadelphia tap: Pours a golden color with almost no head. Aroma is wheat malts and slight fruitiness. This wasn’t really that sour. There was some mild sourness, but not that flavourful kind that really hits the spot that you find in the better examples of this style. It was plenty easy to drink, but all in all, this was a disappointing Berliner... if you even want to call it that.

I am in no way a Berliner pro. Clear golden with a white head. Slightly tart aroma with light grain. Medium bubbly body. Flavor has lightly sour notes, grain, and maybe a light fruity note. A light Berliner compared to the few I've had but a tasty one anyway.

From the tap poured a yellow color with a fair amount of head. Nice light tart refreshing flavor with a quick tart finish.
