COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brown porter was brewed with ‘old-world’ style in mind. Black and chocolate malts create its deep mahogany appearance and creamy nutty flavor. A blend of American Centennial and English Fuggles hops lends a delicate hop presence.

Pint glass on tap at the Dock Street Brew Pub. Poured a deeper brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate, some roastiness, and caramel. Tastes of chocolate, caramel, lighter roast, and nutty. On the sweeter side.

The owner said that my tasting glass did not do justice to this beer, so she poured me a hefty amount in a wine glass. She was right - it’s a beautiful beer, and the head doesn’t fully develop in the little sampler glasses. Deep ruby brown color, thick beige head with good retention. Aroma of light coffee and milk chocolate. Taste is similar. Very nice.

Draught at Whole Foods Devon: Aroma of malt, roast, chocolate, and some nuts. Poured very deep brown/very deep amber in color with a small, creamy, tan head, mainly around the edges. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Small lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, chocolate, nuts, and a hint of hops. Medium body. Slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Chocolate and malt finish.

Poured a dark brown, light red color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, roast, chocolate, and nuts. Taste of roasty malts, toffee, some caramel, with nuts, and cocoa in the finish.

Dark black pour orange hue off white beige head light lacing left a ring or two ..... aroma is roasted malts and light chocolate and caramel malts .... taste is creamy chocolate and roasted malt flavor pretty balanced between the two with some nutty and caramel malt in there all leading to a bitter hop finish ... a solid and sessionable porter nothing bad about this one

Pretty standard porter - brown, roasty, slightly nutty aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet with a roasty-chocolate-nutty thing going on that is simple, yet quite tasty. This is one that should make it into regular rotation.
