COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brown porter was brewed with ‘old-world’ style in mind. Black and chocolate malts create its deep mahogany appearance and creamy nutty flavor. A blend of American Centennial and English Fuggles hops lends a delicate hop presence.

Enjoyed a pint @ South Philly Tap Room from the Beer Engine. Fresh, chocolate, cocoa malitness, hoppiness to compliment. Medium bodied, dark brown, good lacing.

Deep brown in color, nutty taste with slight hops to help balance the malt. Decent porter because it’s not paint by numbers style one.

Roasty coffee aroma. Black-brown in color. Sweet chewy-chocolatey plus nice roastiness.

The owner said that my tasting glass did not do justice to this beer, so she poured me a hefty amount in a wine glass. She was right - it’s a beautiful beer, and the head doesn’t fully develop in the little sampler glasses. Deep ruby brown color, thick beige head with good retention. Aroma of light coffee and milk chocolate. Taste is similar. Very nice.

16oz draft @ Dock St. Pours black wit caramel accents with a creamy beige ’nitro’ head with great retention. Nose is pretty faint, I pick up a bit of roast. First sip brings forward roasty malts, fruity ale yeast and floral English hops. As it warms, a bit of coffee with cream emerges. A very solid English porter that doesn’t get enough praise in the area.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2011 nice light bodied porter. deep brown/black color with a light creamy-brown- colored head. full flavors of dirt, light drinkability, a bit of an astringent hop finish. tons of dirt in the flavor. not the best.

Draught at Whole Foods Devon: Aroma of malt, roast, chocolate, and some nuts. Poured very deep brown/very deep amber in color with a small, creamy, tan head, mainly around the edges. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Small lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, chocolate, nuts, and a hint of hops. Medium body. Slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Chocolate and malt finish.

Dark black pour orange hue off white beige head light lacing left a ring or two ..... aroma is roasted malts and light chocolate and caramel malts .... taste is creamy chocolate and roasted malt flavor pretty balanced between the two with some nutty and caramel malt in there all leading to a bitter hop finish ... a solid and sessionable porter nothing bad about this one

Dark brown pour with an off-white head. Roasted malt aroma with strong chocolate notes. I found this to be a good, but typical, porter.

On tap. Pitch black with a light head. Nice and toasty porter. Not as smooth as I prefer a porter but drinkable nonetheless
