COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bold roasty stout brewed with organic fair trade espresso beans. A tribute to the best coffee house in town. Coffee lovers will easily embrace this delicious brew. Coffee is added at three different points during the brewing process for full integration of flavor and aroma; coarse ground beans are added in the mash, cold steeped coffee goes into the fermenter, and then the whole batch is "dry-hopped" in the bright tank with additional coffee beans. 27 IBU’s

In a sampler; interesting to try but I don’t think I’d order this on its own...it really tastes more like coffee than beer. Although the initial sensation upon sipping is of beer, the coffee aroma quickly develops and overpowers any sense of malt or hops. I’m more a fan of the straight beers that are just unflavored barley+hops, that have a suggestion of coffee in the aroma due to roasted malt. Not very bitter, which I found a bit incongruous with the strong coffee aroma. This one just didn’t do it for me, but to Dock Street’s credit, it was still drinkable.

On tap at Capone’s. Pours a black color with a tan head. Espresso aroma with hints of roast and chocolate. Sweet roasty taste with chocolate notes on backend. Medium mouthfeel. Tasty.

On draft at Johnny Brenda’s. Pours black with one finger of fluffy tan head. Nose is espresso, roasted malts, chocolate and more coffee. Medium mouthfeel, smooth espresso flavor with some chocolate, with not too much bitterness.

GABF. Nearly black. Aroma? Starbucks! Mocha heaven! Rich and full for such a low ABV and tons of awesome coffee! Really a nice brew.

Poured a deep brown color with some ruby high lights. Came to me with little in way of foamy head and I watched it being poured. There was a strong foam collar through out leaving spotting lacing. Aroma was of rich roasted malts and coffee. Taste is rich espresso roasted malts, similar to the aroma. I can also pick up some smoke or charcoal and peat. Mouthfeel was on the thicker side of medium in feel. Has a bitter finish from the coffee no doubt. A good beer I thought that is well balanced between the coffee and malts. Each compliment the other.

At first, the aroma seemed to give me that day old coffee pot smell. Then After tasting, a whole other experience! Big malt flavors dominant, with a fantastic hoppiness- a damn hoppy stout that holds up to the coffee flavors. Coffee and chocolate flavors linger, and stay for a while in aftertaste, very pleasant. Overall, best effort for this beer, as I’ve never really like this beer, as IT was more coffee than beer, but not good coffee. Worth seeking out.

Black color with no head. Aroma of coffee and not much else. Black coffee flavor with some roasted malts and a touch of hops. Not much else happening here.

From the tap poured a brown color with a small amount of head. Strong toasted malty flavor with a lingering coffee aftertaste.

Black pour light beige head light brown tint to it ... roasted coffee aroma nice and fresh .... taste of coffee and roasted malts with a dry bitter roasted coffee finish ... a little thin on the mouthfeel which made it very drinkable not overbearing or acidic at all .....
