Draft at Craft Dock Street event. Pours turbid ruby coppery with 1-finger off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, hoppy, with some fruitiness. Tastes very earthy, with hefty caramel malt notes, bitter hops, some fruit and black peppery notes. Rich and complex palate make this one a great IPA.

Pours copper with tan head. Aroma is caramel, citrus and wet hay. Taste is earthy as pointed out in a earlier review. It feels almost unfinished as the bitterness is very muted. Light mouthfeel with a dry finish.

Tap at Headhouse. Pours a deep dark amber- should be an amber ale maybe?- ok beige head- lasting lace. Aroma is big caramel malt, bordering on being sharp, but it seems mostly fresh and just a moderate sweetness, caramel, burnt toast, honey sweetness, and some citrus-like hops. Flavor is big caramel and dark crystal, toast, molasses hint, honey, grassy and herbal with a good amount of citrus and orange peel. Nice clean finish and a balanced moderate bitterness in the end. Not bad for an amber ale.

On the hand pump at the Grey Lodge ... Cloudy brown pour with amber hue creamy off white head and lots of lacing .... malty aroma earthy .... sweet caramel and nutty taste creamy with a hop bitterness under the malt presence ..... A bitter hop finish that lingers a little ... smooth definitely a ’Not So’ Pale Ale

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, nuts, brown sugar, and slight Earth. Poured copper/amber/brown in color with a large, creamy, dense, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Slightly hazy. Lightly sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malt, nuts, brown sugar, Earth, slight wood, slight chocolate, and a hint of resin. Medium body. Smooth texture. Average carbonation. Malt, slight chocolate, nut, and slight wood finish is lightly dry and light to medium sweet. More of an Alt than an APA. Quite nutty. Much better than expected.
