Draught at the brewpub (with ibiscus)
Light amber color with a nice lace. Very light aroma. The flavor is simple, with a small adjustment (from the ibiscus?), giving a light fruity-sourness. Refreshing but nothing special.

Sampled at this at the 2009 Nando’s Canada Cup of Beer at UBC Thunderbird stadium. The only sample I couldn’t finish - weak, stale and watery. Quite offensive.

Interesting, someone dropped fruit into my Red Stripe. Strange floral aroma, with some sweet fruitiness, decent and balanced enough to be quite quaffable. I might order this again, it was a refreshing little surprise.

This is a strange little beer. Reminds me of a frambozen - but in this case it’s hibiscus instead of raspberries. I had a pint of it on the weekend in the sun - I have to admit that this pint suited the surroundings fine.

GCBF sample. Faint wispy head. Cherry colour. Thin nose. Flavour is too sweet. Interesting flowery edge and finish.

Soapy floral aroma has plenty of tannins and is very sweet and fruity. Ale-like. Hazy copper coloured body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled, white head that recedes to a thick, patchy cover with excellent lacing. Overly sweet in the mouth the fruity and floral flavour has plenty of tannins and seems under-attenuated. Bitterness appears only briefly as an afterthought. Worty body with somewhat low carbonation. Must be my first cask conditioned lager but it definitely comes across as more ale-like than anything. Dockside Hibiscus Lager on cask at Dix Mardi Gras 2007.

On tap at Dockside. Pink clear colour with thin white head. Wheaty fruit, bit of cherry. Cherry aroma, bit sweet in mouth, cereal aftertaste, some dryness on end. Bizarre, not what I expected. Drinkable. Like a very delicate cherry wheat beer.
