2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (4729) - The Sunshine State, USA - MAR 24, 2010
Hand pour, special procurement. Coppery red with thin tan head. Caramel aroma is slightly metallic. This leads to a surprisingly well-hopped palate. Tastes much better than it smells. Good malt husks. Metallic bitter finish. Rough around the edges but ok.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 21, 2011
Draught@brewpub, Vancouver
Dark nut brown color, mostly vanishing beige head. Slightly toasted aroma of malts. Light to medium bodied. Earthy, dusty hoppyness like in the most Dockside beers. Not much caramel for being a brown ale.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 22415brewery (246) - redmond, Washington, USA - OCT 29, 2009
On draft, this dark-amber brown ale pours with little to no head. Un-exciting and uninspired, an insipidly hollow example of a brewpub-production brown ale. A little over-attenuated, this brown ale misses the mark on mouthfeel or malt flavor. An overly light body is followed by an odd astringency and slight sulfur aroma derived most notably from either sloppy brewing processes or a lack of a clean beer line. This has been my second tasting attempt at Dockside, even though the location can’t be beat the beers fail miserably to impress. This is an example of a brewpub that has a great location, makes great food, and also happens to brew beer to keep the "brewery" designation. When you enter a brewpub and more than half of the patrons are drinking wine, that should really tell you something.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 GeneralGao (3545) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAY 18, 2009
Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark orange color with a thin white head. Smelled of toffee with whiffs of roasty malt and flowery hop. Light bodied, watery, and delicately sweet with minimal bitterness. Tasted of paper, pale malt, and subdued flowery hop. Every beer made at Dockside seems to be a slight variation on the others.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 fiulijn (10407) - Como, ITALY - AUG 2, 2008
Draught at the brewpub Hazy amber color. Yes, the chocolate malt leaves some nice trace over the caramel flavor, and the Willamette gives some fruity touch to the aroma, but as usual the bitterness is just a bit too much here...
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 BlackDonald (1127) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 17, 2008
At this point I just wanted to stop writing down ratings because I was getting really disappointed. This kinf of has a sweet nutty flavor but a sour milk nose that really puts me off. Grainy maltiness, with a bitter finish. Not my cup of tea.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Sammy (6120) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 21, 2008
Lots of head but sourish beverage. Some characteristics of the style without being a decent beer.
