3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours clear and colorless with transient white bubbles. Aroma seems a blend of apple and pear skin. Very clean. I think the apples dominate. Perhaps just the slightest hint of sugar; quite dry. Finishes with lightly bitter mixed skin.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pale yellow, white head. Aroma of pears and apples and some artificial fruitiness. Flavor is sweet, prickly from the carbonation, yeasty, apples, pears, and artificial flavors again. Ok, I guess.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap. Pours with a clear, pale hue with no head. Aromas are of sulfur, sugar, pear, sweet candy, mild earthy notes. Flavors are cloyingly sweet, sticky pear, mild acidity, esters, and a slight earthy phenol. Sweetened and bland. Lively bubbles, a bit sticky, mildly cloying. A touch of funky earth. Bad.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours very pale gold, like Budweiser mixed 50/50 with water. No head. Nose is pear, mild apple, citrus. Crisp, light, effervescent palate with tart pear and apple flavor. Stays tart, and stays fruity and rather refreshing. Not a style Iíd pay a lot for in the future, but a solid style for what it is trying to be. Not bad.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2008-12-05. Hazy pear yellow, headless. Sweet fruity pear aroma, lightly funky note, alcoholic fruit is about half fresh pears, and about half canned pears in nature. Flavour is sweet and has a lot of pear flavour, very little alcohol presence, it is very drinkable. Smooth palate is surprisingly decent for a cask perry! Quaffable. Donít expect this will fare well in the overall ratings but it was a nice change of pace on the day, and I enjoyed it much more than expected. Cask at Goodbar, Buffalo

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
22 oz. bottle from Market Street Wineshop Uptown Charlottesville. Very, very pale yellow with a soda-like head. Active carbonation. Dry apple notes with hints of pear, though it’s not very noticeable. Taste is dry up front, with a sweet finish. Taste is mostly apples with just the slightest pear in the finish. I wish there was more pear evident in this. Medium bodied.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On draft at Paradiso Georgetown. Wow. My first perry I think and I really liked it. Poured pretty much 99% clear so that at first I thought I had been handed my water. Flat, no head. But somehow the body is rampant with prickly carbonation. The aroma is outstanding. Not like a cider at all- more like a lambic or sour ale. I was amazed. Lots of chardonnay, champagne, sour green apples, acedic acid, unripe pears, apple skins. Fantastic. Taste begins a bit tart, refreshing, light-bodied, heavy carbonation giving it almost a soda palate that finishes with sugary baked pears. Very nice overall. A big surprise.
