Not much on the aroma but looks good. Taste and palate lacking, slight roast but then has a wet cardboard finish. Average.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had on tap at Murrays bar in Manly. A very nice and enjoyable beer. Not a session beer, but still a good beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Beer Deluxe. Pours a dark black with a two finger creamy tan head. Aroma is hoppy, with a slight smoky note. Flavour is slightly sweet, orange peel, hops, peach, and a mild bitter finish. Not bad, but a little generic. Also, it’s more of a black IPA than a pilsener.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Josie bones. Amazing aroma, smells like a pilsener but doesn’t look like one. Very spicy aroma, black malts make for some nice coffee flavors and finishes with a nice sweetness and some good bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Almost black with a dense beige head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt, caramel, grapefruit, lychees, spices. Taste has moderate caramel sweetness, cocoa, citrus and salt. Odd spice notes at the end - prickly ash? - that I wasn’t so keen on. Alcohol totally hidden. Almost odd for the sake of it, but it hangs together quite well. A little like salty toffee dusted with cocoa.
