Caramel and butterscotch malt (M); earthy, spicy, piney, grapefruit hops (M). Deep orange-amber color. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter flavor becomes a moderately sweet, moderately acidic, heavily bitter finish. Great mid palate butterscotch flavor. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: a great blend of noble and northwest hops.

If you are a hophead like me, you’ll love this beer. The high IBU count really comes through in the aroma, without overwelming the balance of the beer. The flavor of the grains still come through, creating a wonderful beer that can be enjoyed pint after pint. This is my favorite beer at the Dodging Duck.

A very good IPA. Ray didnt throw yard clippings into his IPA like many micros like to do. It remained true to the English version of the style--even though it had 73 IBU, the mellow malts came through to balance everything out nicely. Very full and rich, notes of alcohol has it warmed. I actually took a growler of this stuff to a football party that evening....yum! Hook em!
