COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is almost the same recipe as the brewery’s regular Sir Francis Drake Porter, but this version is brewed with vanilla.

(draught) cloudy espresso brown, ring of white bubbles. Nose of vanilla, chocolate malt and syrup. Taste of big vanilla extract, chocolate grain mash, oats, and some sweet cherry as well. Medium body but like all their other brews a bit low on carbonation.

Best of the duck shaped flight. Fake vanilla smell and flavor. Brown sugar. I feel like I am drinking a black and mild.

Growler thanks to mora2000 via bu11zeye. Pours with a brown body and a very small off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, marshmallow, chocolate, peeps, and soil. Flavors of cocoa, earth, wax, dirt, vanilla, marshmallow, and something astringent. Medium bubbles, chalky mouthfeel.

On tap at the brewpub. The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is very strong vanilla with some chocolate and roasted malt mixed in. The flavor is just as strong. The vanilla stands out from the chocolate and roasted malts. The beer has a medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. The beer was a slight bit medicinal but was still pretty good.
