3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can 24 oz
Aroma: sweet light, sugary , light on heat. For style quiet clean. Light hops noted. 6+
Apperance: clean golden , with medium plus bright white top. Sparse lace with rings.
Taste/Palate etc. medium bodied with oily sides. More of helles bock body than think rough malt likka. That side shows with rougher alcohol hints but still I must say it was quiet solid. You could fool this with many folks if relabeled as doppel bock. Decent body, clean alcohol heat in check and you will find hinted hop side. Highly under rated.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2012 Glad to see the US doing some 7%/8%/10% variations like the Canadians. Thanks BlackIPA! Yellow with a big white head. Bread and corn, corn bread aroma. Similar flavor, just a bit of fruit. Good carbonation, no hint of the ABV. Also, my can got deleted? Seriously? That’s nutters.

24oz can I picked up in Portland, ME with some friends at a gas station near the train station. Pours into numerous glasses and chugged effortessly out of the giant can. Taste is sweet corn, sweet malt, and tangy metalic mutserings abound. In the glass pale yellow shined on, head was flat and body was thin. Def not as harsh as i would have thought, the sweetness was enjoyable at times, reminiscent of candies and sugared tarts. Overall there was a generaic bite to this that transposed the evening with joyfullness and funny references to the bite. too bad I got just one.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Thanks, Shawn! Pours a clear golden color with a white head. The nose is kind of bland and watery. Sweet grain and sugar is certainly there, though. A bit of corn, grape, and banana as it sits in the glass for a little while. The flavor is sweet and surprisingly fruity. Banana, grape, and apple notes. Plenty of sugar, some corn, and a general graininess. Surprisingly not bad.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Canned @ home, courtesy of blackipa. Fucken a bro, bro. Pours a clear golden appearance with a somewhat foamy, off white head. Slight green apple, a bit citrusy, bubbly carbonated, light grape aroma. Soft mouth feel. Sweet grape jolly rancher, a bit bready, corn flavor. A fine malt liquor and solid swill. Drinks pretty damn good.

Can shared at the Baltimore Late Late Summer Gathering, 9/14/13. Pours a clear golden color with a large creamy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of strong grassy hops, corn, caramel malts. The taste is grassy hops, corn, mild grain. Medium bodied, slightly tart, fairly smooth. Not bad.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
24oz can thanks to BlackIPA! Served in Tired Hands stemware. Pours a clear golden, deeper. Medium, white foam with weak retention and webby lace. Nose is salted tomato, white grape juice, some bizarre esters I’m assuming are common in this rare style. Vegetal certainly. Taste is buttery, papery, lots of red apples. Not really boozy. Decent taste. Nose is awful. V8 juice perhaps. Aftertaste pretty ripe, harsh. Difficult to enjoy especially in this quantity. After just a few sips I’m feeling nauseous and my stomach is churning. I feel seasick. Fiancé rating :2.3
