COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Too extreme to be called beer? Brewed to a colossal 45°P, boiled for a full 2 hours while being continually hopped with high alpha American hops, dry-hopped every day in the fermenter for a month, and aged for a month on whole leaf hops, 120 Minute IPA is by far the strongest IPA ever brewed. And at 21% ABV and 120 IBU’s, you can see why we are calling this the Holy Grail for Hopheads. Editors note: ABV reduced down to 18% in 2009.

I drink this once a year, on my birthday. Color between that of a root beer and ? Dum Dum. Hoppy and malty, what else could you want? Has some burn; definitely a sippin’ ale

Had in bottles many times, takes a while to warm up (and better with age), but a great beer.

Well it is a hard beer to get your hands, I finally got my hands on a few for $10 a piece. I have to say it is worth every cent, not only is it one of the best beers ive ever had but it is strong! I like the fact that it ages well. It is much like a cognac or brandy in my opinion with a very sweet flavor and great aftertaste

Bottle to glass. Pours a hazy light amber orange color with a thin light tan head. Aroma has a faint citrusy piney hop character, with touches of molasses, caramel malts, and a nice alcohol burn. Flavor is quite potent, with a strong alcohol burn, heavy bitterness, and caramel sweetness. Thick sticky mouthfeel with a lingering astringent character and burn. Very solid beer. More of a strong ale with intense bitterness. Huge ABV!

Haven’t really cared for Dogfish Head beer. Still felt the need to try this. Hazy copper color. Very little head. Malty alcohol aroma with a mild hop smell. Tastes pretty good actually. Not really an IPA flavor though. Much more like a barley wine. Lots of alcohol burn. Feels more like drinking liquor than beer. I’m glad I have someone to share with.

2 year old bottle pour. Brilliant. Caramel corn nose and initial taste. With 2 years on it this is a beautifully chewy barleywine-esque beer. Huge butter and toffee nose with a smooth and bitter finish. Outstanding.

Alcohol at a cocktail level--that’s what this is, more a cocktail than a beer--bufered by lemon & caramel in the aroma. flavors of powdered sugar, alcohol, peaches. instant warming. amazingly smooth. Been wanting to try this for decades--thanks Belmont Station.
