COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Too extreme to be called beer? Brewed to a colossal 45įP, boiled for a full 2 hours while being continually hopped with high alpha American hops, dry-hopped every day in the fermenter for a month, and aged for a month on whole leaf hops, 120 Minute IPA is by far the strongest IPA ever brewed. And at 21% ABV and 120 IBUís, you can see why we are calling this the Holy Grail for Hopheads. Editors note: ABV reduced down to 18% in 2009.

From the bottle poured a very nice, golden, light amber, brew with a thick, rich head. Wonderful aromas of malt and floral hops. Full bodied with an interesting flavor mixture including malt, citrus, honey, and a nice mild hop finish. This IPA, IMO, tastes more like a Belgium ale than an IPA. Well that would be a win, win situation either way.

2 year old bottle pour. Brilliant. Caramel corn nose and initial taste. With 2 years on it this is a beautifully chewy barleywine-esque beer. Huge butter and toffee nose with a smooth and bitter finish. Outstanding.

Alcohol at a cocktail level--thatís what this is, more a cocktail than a beer--bufered by lemon & caramel in the aroma. flavors of powdered sugar, alcohol, peaches. instant warming. amazingly smooth. Been wanting to try this for decades--thanks Belmont Station.

12oz bottle pours a hazy orange amber with a one finger head and nice lacing. Aromas of fruit, citrus, herbs, caramel, and banana. Flavor is mild bitter with an obvious alcohol presence. Yum!

Deep amber. Off white head. Plenty of lacing. Huge malty aroma with a citrusy orange aroma and tons of hops. Malty taste up front followed by hops and citrus. Finishes a little sweet and bitter.

Nice amber thin white head. Aroma alcohol apricots light hops. Taste alcohol hops malt orange peel. Thinner mouthfeel than expected. Overall impressive maybe not as a beer per-say but an experience.

Finished bottling a batch of Belgium Triple and the 4 of us sat down to enjoy some beers. Ended the evening with this bad boy. Everyone loved it, luckly I have 4 more stashed away. Not to many beers to compare it to at 18% especially for an iPA. Blows Averyís 15% and 16% beers away. However Sam Adams Utopias at 27% is still my favorite with this being a solid 2nd.

Bottle 2014. Very hoppy,. A great IPA. The high ABV is hidden very well, but still present. Very sweet and carmel/piney. A great ale that must be tried by hop lovers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
