4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap. Pours a cloudy apricot with a white head and some lacing. The aroma is strong citrus and pine hops, some malt and dark fruit, and a sweet sugar background. The flavor is thick hops and malt up front, with a bitter aftertaste over a syrupy body.

Loads of caramel throughout, with notes of apples, spiced cider, sweet grains and hints of tropical fruit. Solid citrus hop bitterness. Sweet sugar finish.

Draft at falling rock denver. Wow, BIG BEER, not for wimps or whiners. Malt base to carry the alcohol and hops, hops, hops otherwise. Amber colored, thick syrup taste.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From the 12 fl. oz bottle dated 07/22/15. Served at about 45 degrees. Handsome looking copper-amber pour with yellow hues around the edges underneath a moderate, long lasting cream colored head. The aroma has an enticing sweet malt character up front and nothing in the way of hops like I expected. Also a nice orange, peach, and mango note. No alcohol to speak of on the nose. Big bold body and smooth. The taste has the same sweet malt and fruity characters but there is an alcohol burn that kicks in and warms my chest as it goes down. Not a lingering bitterness. Extremely well balanced given its high ABV. And this one was a fresh one! They say it ages well. I wonder how it might have been a year from now. Glad I finally got to try it. Worth the hype it gets.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Kind of messy, but then this is three years aged and without any of the fresh hops a 120 minute ipa should have. Pours amber with OK head. Lots of malt and booze. Bittersweet finish. Bottle pour from 2012 at Churchkey.

Poured from the single $11- bottle, nice orange with a little collar for about 30 seconds. Smells like concentrated hops and fruit. Taste is Strong! Its like they took 2 IIPA’s and took the water out to make it 12oz. I felt a buzz on the 2nd sip, and was sweating half way thru the glass. Gets easier to drink as the palate adjusts but still a sipper. I know where a 4-pack is hiding, I’ll check back if I buy it. Wow, that’s all I got.
