Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 9, 2004 A clear dark orange beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by alcohol but also with notes of caramel and portwine. The flavor is very sweet, but to my suprise not with much hops in the flavor just a hoppy dryness in the end. The alcohol is very present in the flavor - so much, that it almost burns your tongue. Not at all what I expected, but still a very nice beer. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 22, 2003 Bottled. Pours thick with amber colour. Appley, cutric nose. Extremely sweet, layers of syrup and sugar covers the hop and malt flavours completely and with it all the finer details. Interesting on paper, but doesn't work in reality. At least not for me. Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 7, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Almost clear, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Soft, sweetish sherry-like aroma. Very potent and full-bodied with extremely sweet malt notes - caramel, overripe fruit and then again this almost desert wine character. The extreme hoppiness is well hidden under layers of sugar also covering most of the alcohol which eventually reveals itself in an almost medicinal and cough syrup like manner. Very interesting and unique indeed. 031206 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 4, 2003 Fiery amber colour. Piney, citric aroma, but with underlying syrupy notes. Minty, big malts. A little citrus. Alcohol is surprisingly understated. Interesting stuff - more like a hop liqeur than a beer, and better than I expected given the lack of balance or dirnkability in the 90 Minute. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 26, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a light orange/brown head. Strong grapefruit hoppy aroma. Caramel sweet malt flavour with a good portion of bitterness. Really strong in both malt and hops but maintains a great balance. Strong bitterfinish. Very nice brew.
