Commercial Description:
Too extreme to be called beer? Brewed to a colossal 45°P, boiled for a full 2 hours while being continually hopped with high alpha American hops, dry-hopped every day in the fermenter for a month, and aged for a month on whole leaf hops, 120 Minute IPA is by far the strongest IPA ever brewed. And at 21% ABV and 120 IBU’s, you can see why we are calling this the Holy Grail for Hopheads.

12oz single from Bayville Package Store, Selbyville, DE...I’ve had this (and WWS) sitting around since last summer, finally cracked it open!...pours beautiful deep amber color with almost no head...aroma jumps out of the bottle, floral, sweet, citrus, as if a Barley Wine and Imperial IPA collided...robust flavor of hops, citurs rind, hops, dried fruit, hops...nice mild alcohol burn...I’ve had much lower abv with more alcohol presence than this...very well hidden. I’ve had people tell me this beer was so sweet that they couldn’t finish it...I disagree...it was sweet, but very drinkable. The sweetness subdues that hoppy bitterness I love so much.

This beer will knock you on your ass. If the Incredible Hulk drank, this would be the only beer he would reach for. Wave after wave, 7 in all, after every sip hit me with the powerful flavor of cloudy orange colored hops. Took me 2.5 hours to finish on July 4th 08

Amberish color and not too thick. Reminded me of a less imposing version of Bell’s Hopslam, and the 21% sure didn’t seem like it as I was able to drink this and a Dead Guy ale without getting completely wasted. Not at all worth close to $10 but if you’re someone who’s just gotta try the high ABV ales then this one certainly is appealing, at least in that you’ll have experienced something with lots of booze in it that still tastes good.

Slightly aged bottle sampled at work. Hazy orange color with a creamy, medium head. Aroma is malt with floral and citrus hop notes. Very malty taste with toffee, maple notes and a citrus hop bite. Very thick and syrupy feel. Alcohol is slightly noticeable, but nowhere near what it actually is.

Can’t describe this. Can’t taste the alcohol but you can certainly feel it...especially on an empty stomach. Oh my God, I’m in heaven.

12 oz bottle aged 1 year. Pours a hazy reddish amber color w/o much of a head or lacing. Nose is heavy sweetness and dark fruity aromas, quite complex. Nice full, thick, chewy palate with just a touch of carbonation. Now to try and discuss the flavors. Just about everythings in here. Brown sugar, caramel, plums, dates, figs, hops, and of coarse, alcohol. This really wasn’t the hop bomb I expected it to be. Maybe its because I let it age for a year. If I ever get another one, I’ll drink it fresh, then again, maybe I’ll let it age 5 years.
