3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. The pour was a hazy burnt orange with an average (1-2 finger) white creamy head that was mostly diminishing leaving behind a small collar and poor spotty lacing.
The aroma was of a sweet grain malt, pine and citrus hops and a sweet soapy yeast with notes of apple, citrus (orange and grapefruit), pineapple, caramel and a slight alcohol tinge.
The taste was very sweet with a mild maltiness and had hints of caramel and orange early on, and then became very hoppy with a strong boozy grapefruit note and a touch of candi sugar and pineapple at the finish. The flavor hung on for a very long time with a sweet hoppy alcohol burn left to fade away slowly.
Mouthfeel was almost medium in body with a syrupy texture and a very soft carbonation.
Overall a very sweet boozy brew that grows on you with every sip, and even though it possessed an extremely high ABV the sweet malts helped to take off the edge...

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
After the 60 minute, I had to go the 120. Hard to describe as its so big and complex with malts, sweetness and bitterness all colliding in this beer from every angle. Its complex, rich but oh so delicious. Not for the faint hearted

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a hazy dark amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is a surprisingly sweet malty mix of honey, dark fruits, grassy and pine hops, and, of course, alcohol. Flavor is rich caramel, honey, and stone fruits with a bitter bite from grassy, citrus, and pine hops. This brew is a continually crosses the line between malt sweetness and bitter hops, while alcohol maintains its warm presence.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Gently-hazed late-sunset-gold pour with small head. Rich dried apricot and sweet malt nose, a bit of a chemical-y note that blurs into a soapy florality. Flavor starts piney and sweet, some herbaceousness, caramel, apricot and orange. Full, viscous body. A bit more on the barleywine side than an IPA. Headache-inducing, but different than expected.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma: pine, grass, some sweet honey notes
Taste: sweet malt and honey from the start, heavy grass and pine flavor after that.
Thick and sticky. Bitter aftertaste.
Easy drinkable as for this ABV

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy darkish-golden glow, with a little fluffy white head. Perfume, floral hop aroma and caramel malty overtones. Taste is sweet and malty - up front, bitter, floral hops, and slight alcohol burn. Dry, caramel malty, bitter hop finish. Feel the belly burn. This would be a one and done for me, mainly because of the price. For the abv, I find it to be a good balance of hops and malts. Overall, it’s better than I expected. Would recommend to others...sure, why not.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange golden color with foam ring. Intense hoppy (liqueur) nose. Thick hoppy liqueur with a very noticeable amount of alcohol in a very decent mixture with the bitterness and carbonation, but in total a bit too much. Decent hoppy liqueur aftertaste.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. A triple IPA to define standards. Intense pine aroma. Mouth is ultra heavy, thick, sticky, sweet. Pineapple, for sure and for real. Boozy, but not nearly as expected for 18% ABV. Feels like the tongue sticks to the roof of the mouth after swallowing. Ultra long super sweet finish with lots of pineapple again. A revelation indeed.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 27, 2016 My 100th Imperial IPA rating. Bottle. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is caramel, very hoppy, canned peach, pineapples, and such. Taste is pineapples, very sweet, but very fresh at the same time, huge malt body. Medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel. I usually don?t like this amount of sweetness, but for 18 ABV, this is extremely well-balanced. In terms of ABV hiding, this is a brewing masterpiece.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From bottle. Pours a darkish clear amber with a small off white head. Aroma has looots of hops, caramel malts, toffee, orange, tropical hops, earthy hops, lots of malt presence, vanilla. Taste is super intense. First now i see it’s 18%!? Holy fack that is well hidden in the aroma. In the taste it is more noticable, but mostly as a taste amplifier. Super bitter, super sweet, vanilla, malty, tasty. More like an extremely hoppy barley wine due to the maltiness. Average to low carbonation and a slight boozy, oily body.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap into a snifter showing caramel brown with no head.
The nose shows extremely concentrated hops that actually seems more like heavy notes of burnt malt.
The palate is full bodied with no carbonation with intense hops and heavy malts.
