Jul 14, 2009 Pours amber with a big, white, pillowy head. Nose is pine. Taste is malt and citris. Finish has a muted hop bitterness, much less than most IPAs. Good stuff, a bridge between pale ale and IPA styles.

Jul 12, 2009 Bottle. Not as good as I remember this being a few years back. Nose is not real powerful, but pours a frothy head with an amber color. Strong pine flavor, a bit medicinal..but a good bitter to it. For some reason I thought this was better, but I guess time changes the buds. Cant hardly believe I haven’t rated this before now.

Jul 11, 2009 This was on tap and I am guessing it was somehow tainted in the processing because it can’t be the same beer the other raters are discussing! The defining taste is of disinfectant or medicine. Chemical. Could not finish it. Had a dales on the table at the same time and that was tasting great, so I know it wasnt a problem with my taste buds! I cannot tell you more about the flavor because that was really all I could taste, it was so strong.

Jul 9, 2009 really? I haven’t rated this? Whatever. 2 month old bottle. Earthy and deep hop aroma, though not heavy or abrasive, just kinda full. Clear golden, sticky lacing. Sugary sweet base, earthy hop finish. Consistently tasty, but too sweet for a sessionable IPA for me.

Jul 5, 2009 Just barely hazy golden color with a thin white cap of head. Lots of carbonation, bubbled like champagne the entire pint.
Nose is funky and floral, tastes like a watered-down or "light" IPA. Not nearly the complexity I expected from such a highly-regarded brewer of IPAs, but I still have hopes for the 90-minute!
