MereLikesBeer (153), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA Jun 12, 2009 For a "flagship" beer I thought this was a pretty good one. It’s a pretty good all around IPA, not too strong, not too many overpowering flavor notes...just a decent every day beer. It poured a pretty clear yellow with a slight white head. It had the aroma of hops and a bit of citrus, however I don’t feel that the citrus translated to the flavor. It had a really woody and slightly smoky flavor to it. I like this beer and will probably check it out again. italianjohn (338), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 11, 2009 Pours a golden color with a small amount of white head aroma of citrus and hops taste of fruits and sweet malt with a nice hop aftertaste different taste for an ipa kinda toned down but excellent and sessionable RyanMM (45), Ferndale, Michigan, USA Jun 9, 2009 Gorgeous nose of citrus and grassy scents. Nice golden color. Light head, light lacing. Smooth at first with a burst of hoppiness on the way down. I’m not a hophead, so this might be the upper limit of what I’d consider palatable, at least currently. Incredibly smooth despite the hoppy finish. Probably wouldn’t order it or keep it on hand, but if it’s between this and a macro lager, I’ll definitely head in this direction. bobbypaulson (100), , Minnesota, USA Jun 9, 2009 it’s a good beer to just sit and relax and watch sports. You can taste the hops but obviouslly not as strong as there other IPA’s. Jow (12), New York, USA Jun 6, 2009 Bottle. very refreshing citrusy IPA. Not over poweringly hoppy a good summer beer. dimenhetfield (157), , Florida, USA Jun 6, 2009 A very refreshing IPA if I’ve ever had one. Hops are very prominent but not too overpowering. Has a very nice pour with a white foam head. A close 2nd to it’s brother the 90 minute IPA, but still a very good beer. btgpdx (9), USA does not count Jun 5, 2009 Missing the IPA aromas I’m used to on the west coast. As another reviewer said it looks like apple juice. Definitely get cedar notes, but the citrus is missing for me. Falling somewhere between a session beer and an IPA is a lofty goal, this muddles the point of both styles instead of successfully blending them. vtafro (452), , New Jersey, USA Jun 5, 2009 Bottle. IPA with normal characteristics. Can be a session beer, not the biggest fan of IPAs.
