3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
10/16/05 bottle. Pours a 2 inch white head and a cloudy light orange color. Smells sweet with light malts. Quite carbonated with a very clean finish, not extremley hoppy like I expected. Good lacing in the head and throughout the beer. Long lasting head. Slight watery finish which peaks my interset to why that is. Great brew and well deserving beer from DFH.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Small head out of bottle, very thin. Nice color, kind of dark copper. Nice aroma, smooth bitterness, very pleasing taste. Ends with some hoppy flavor that lingers in the aftertaste. Aftertaste is pretty good for an IPA.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mild bitterness in the head, nice golden amber body. Full flavor and a decent aftertaste. Not my favorite IPA, but I’d buy it again

4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2006 Pours light-brown, clear, and nicely carbonated with off-white head. Smells hoppy with hints of citrus. Very hoppy flavor but nicley balanced with a lasting bitter finish. Lively palate. This is the IPA I measue all others against.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a somewhat cloudy yellow-orange with fizz, but not much in the way of head. The aroma is pine, zest, and floral hops. The flavor is very sharp and crisp and is dominated by piney hops (as a good IPA should be). The palate is a tad on the fizzy side, but a solid IPA otherwise.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a light copper with a 1/2 cm head. Lots of lively carbonation present. Soft floral hops on the nose, grassy, floral and fruity. Flavor is rather subdued with a general hop bitterness against a lightly malty background. The hops in this are a bit muddled together with a very one dimensional character to them, just kind of bland. Tastes of grapefruit, citrus, and caramel malt. Mouthfeel is a little over carbonated for my taste, with medium body. Not bad, but a far cry from some of the awesome stuff these guys make.
