10/16/05 bottle. Pours a 2 inch white head and a cloudy light orange color. Smells sweet with light malts. Quite carbonated with a very clean finish, not extremley hoppy like I expected. Good lacing in the head and throughout the beer. Long lasting head. Slight watery finish which peaks my interset to why that is. Great brew and well deserving beer from DFH.

Small head out of bottle, very thin. Nice color, kind of dark copper. Nice aroma, smooth bitterness, very pleasing taste. Ends with some hoppy flavor that lingers in the aftertaste. Aftertaste is pretty good for an IPA.

Mild bitterness in the head, nice golden amber body. Full flavor and a decent aftertaste. Not my favorite IPA, but I’d buy it again

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2006 Pours light-brown, clear, and nicely carbonated with off-white head. Smells hoppy with hints of citrus. Very hoppy flavor but nicley balanced with a lasting bitter finish. Lively palate. This is the IPA I measue all others against.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2005 12oz bottle-pours a tall creamy tan head. Color is deep gold. Aroma is crisp hops. Taste is hops backed up by some malts, good carbonation. Has a sharp bitterness and finishes with a flatness and a hint of caramel taste. 3.1 was my original rating. * I have had this again, since 1st rating it and have enjoyed it more. bottling info stamped on my subsequent efforts is 5224 B-12056

Bottle. Pours a somewhat cloudy yellow-orange with fizz, but not much in the way of head. The aroma is pine, zest, and floral hops. The flavor is very sharp and crisp and is dominated by piney hops (as a good IPA should be). The palate is a tad on the fizzy side, but a solid IPA otherwise.

bottle-This beer poured out a light yellow or copper with a small head. The taste was a bit overpowering for myself as this is not my favorite type of beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a light copper with a 1/2 cm head. Lots of lively carbonation present. Soft floral hops on the nose, grassy, floral and fruity. Flavor is rather subdued with a general hop bitterness against a lightly malty background. The hops in this are a bit muddled together with a very one dimensional character to them, just kind of bland. Tastes of grapefruit, citrus, and caramel malt. Mouthfeel is a little over carbonated for my taste, with medium body. Not bad, but a far cry from some of the awesome stuff these guys make.
