3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2005 Pours a sparkling clear copper with a thick off-white head. Aroma is of floral hops and PINE; smells like a christmas tree. Taste is moderately sweet and pleasantly but not overly bitter. Has a ton of hops with plenty of grapefruit/citrus, pine, resin and some toastiness to the malt. Finishes moderately dry with a slight biscuity aftertaste. Medium body and smooth texture with moderate carbonation. Lacing hangs on the glass in thick sheets, really good head retention. Overall, a great session IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very cleary orangy-gold with a nice sized white head. It has a very distincy sharp bitter aroma, largely of pine hops. The flavor is very nice. The hops are definately present but don’t overpower. Floral, grapefruit, and pine. Medium malt flavor and feel provides great balance in the form of a nice carmel malt.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Fat Heads. Fantastic hoppy aroma. Crisp, spicy flavor that lingers longer than some double IPAs.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hoppy aromas, a hint of perfume and melon. The bite is solid on the IPA and the hop, malt, barley flavors are smoky and complex. A long finish that stays true to the hops, not souring like some IPA’s will tend to do.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a three-fingered white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Very hoppy nose. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Nothing like the 90 & 120 minute IPAs Dogfish has, this is a ’normal’ IPA that is loaded with hops - hopheads line up for this one. $2.00 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, Ma.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle, clear golden pour with a large off white head. Faint hop aroma, with some malt hints too. Start is kind of metallic, hoppy and sharp. The flavor mellows in the middle, and finishes very nicely. Some nice grapefruit bitter to finish. Smooth from the middle on and decent to drink. Much better than the last bottle of this stuff that I refused to rate because it was infected.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Foamy head on a hazy golden orange body. Aroma is fresh fruity and hoppy. Flavor is also hoppy with a delicious dry bitterness. A very nice and refreshing
beer but a little thin on the palate.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Floral hop aroma. This is some good stuff, as I expected. Definitly the session version of the three DFH IPAs. Has a nice caramel hoppiness. Kind of a chilled out, session version of the 90 minute. I can see myself driking this a lot.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I was expecting much more hoppiness from this beer. The aroma is typically hoppy and fruity but the flavor is a let down. It is hoppy but quite mildly so, with the hops struggling to win out over the malt.
