Bottle poured a deep amber color with an average-sized, off-white head. Fair lacing. The mouthwatering hoppy aromas were very outdoorsy: flowers & pine... swirling brought forth some wood... from the beer, not from me. (I would have rated aroma a 10, but every so often I’d catch a musky, glandular scent... like an un-fixed ferrett.) Flavor held a consistent bitterness with a lasting duration. Finish was dry with slight astringency, a little alcohol in the aftertaste. Very good.

Had this in RFD, Washington DC this week. They had two versions the normal tap stuff which was good, hazy light amber colour, white head, hoppy flavour, with some citrus. They also had another, which they referred to as Dog Fish 60 Minutes Hardcore IPA, also on tap, which had been part of a recent tasting event. This was excellent, crystal clear, with similar traits to the above but better balanced. Rating for the latter.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2008 Typical IPA coloration and aroma, if not slightly fruity. I had this as a session brew and the dry aftertaste became rather tiresome. It is rather good in helpings of one to two bottles however.

first off a big thanks to doclock for this beer.the 60 minute poured a murky orange with a small white head.smells of cedar wood, pepper, and juicy fruit gum greated my nose.the mouthfeel was crisp, yet smooth and refreshing.i gathered flavors much like the aroma with a bit of caramel malt.i was very happy with how balanced and drinkable this was.this would be an awsome session brew.

This is just a high-quality beer, especially for the price. Wonderful aroma and spritely effervescence. Still heavy enough, though, to make two or three feel like a full evening. Good color and a nice woody quality. Have yet to try the 90-minute, but I expect much of the same.

Poured an amber color with a small head. Nice grapefruit, orange and Pine aroma. Nice hoppy flavor.. very piney with a bit of grapefruit and a hint of malt. One of the more hoppy IPA’s I have ever had. Very nice brew!!

OK OK so I made a rush to judgment about DFH on the forum. a thousand apologies. sampled this at Piccadilly’s in Champaign. even though I am not much of a hop head, this is a very fine beer.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2005 Bottle. Pour is dirty orangish/gold with small off-white head that leaves some lace and tons of little floaties. Aroma is of hops, oranges and grapefruits. Taste is hoppy and orangey with a little honey and lemon but not as bitter as I would’ve hoped. A quality beer but definitely a disappointment compared to the 90 Minute IPA which was fuller and packed more punch. This one leaves something to be desired...like 30 more minutes.

Thanks to Wawood for this one! Murky orange-gold white head pour. Laces wonderfully. Aroma of candi sugar and baklava, wheatgrass and barbershop (barbasol, cheap aerosol mousse, and other hairdressing astringents). Flavor is sweet fig, toffee, caramel, honey, and mead. Hop on top and finish, obviously. Mouthfeel is thicker than I expected, rather pleasant. Crisp, clean, solid.

Poured honey-gold brown, tiny bubbles, little head, but rich and creamy thin layer that remained steady throughout. Aroma of citrus hops, slightly sweet. Palate is bold and sharp but balanced well for a smooth biting finish. Flavor full of hops
