Slight head diminishing to very thin head. Clear medium amber color. Okay, this aroma is not like I’ve encountered in my recent foray into APAs and IPAs. I do not like this smell! Yeasty to me. More "woody" aroma and bitter taste than the Libery Ale, Odell, Goose Island and Bridgeport IPAs. It gets better with each taste, but overall give me the other ones anyday. I read where someone said only get it on tap, that if bottled it gets bad - well this one is 2 1/2 months from bottled date, maybe that has something to do with my experience. Purchased room temperature from a store one week ago and it has bee in 38-40 degree fridge temperature since. I’d like to give a better rating, as I do enjoy beer, but this one is at the bottom of the category for me at this time. Maybe next time...Okay next time was today. Even worse than before - never again. if I got a bad batch, or is out of date, I do not consider that my responsibility. Why spend my hard-earned $$$ on this crap? hawkshadow (102), Rural Retreat, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 28, 2009 It is okay, but not when comparing it to others in it’s category. Yes, it’s good but when it goes against others in the IPA group. It falls to middle ground. Hope you have a good day! MitchWayne (264), Kokkola, Finland
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 28, 2009 A really good very hoppy ipa and the abv is nicely low considering that the taste is this powerful. Straightforward and damn good. fogdoctor (16), Pennsylvania, USA

Its a refreshing but possibly a little over-hopped for most as you start the lose the malt flavor. A very nice palate cleanser with heavily spiced foods. Bitterness is is balanced with a nice sweet/malty taste that lingers on the front of the tongue. Its a good IPA but not a great one considering the price.
It has no major flaws and is easy drinking. RHeastings (395), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Enjoyed via draft. Pours a full golden color. Nose is full of citrus and grapefruit as a result of the American hops. The palate, while leaning toward hops, is balanced at the end with a toasty and complex maltiness. Always a welcomed sight at any pub. Gabler (86), , New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Poured clear gold. Very hoppy aroma and of course, a hoppy flavor with some light notes of citrus and pine. Bitter mouthfeel is great. Dry bitter finish. Maybe the best drinkable, refreshing IPA’s out there. pibbsman (5), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 24, 2009 Although not on the same level as the Dogfish 90 IPA, the 60 is certainly more of an everyday beer. The citrus flavor is not overwhelming, taste is a bitterness you don’t find in the 90. terrybail (335), London, Ontario, Canada
