Leighton (234), New York, New York, USA Jan 6, 2009 Man I love Dogfish Head. The 60 Minute IPA is great because it is widely available - at least in the Northeast. Rich dark brown color. Moderate head. Sweet hoppiness. Got a little citrus flavor to it. Gotta love it. SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Jan 5, 2009 Updated: Jan 17, 200912oz bottle, dated 11-08-08. Number 700, and a bit of a let down honestly. Maybe this is just not at all my style, but I found this way mellow and off balance toward crystal malt flavor. Pours a clear dark gold with a large white head. Sweet malty aroma with some yeasty, floral, and sweet grapefruit hop touches. Sweet flavor with lots of crystal malt (a bit tea-ish), sweet fruit like orange and melon that seem to me coming from the hops, but the hops only really make themselves known with a mildly sharp bitterness way back in the finish, in an oddly disconnected fashion from the rest of the flavor sequencing. Light to medium bodied. I want to try this on tap now to make sure that this bottle wasn’t bad, but it is under two months old, so I’m a bit worried. (2.9) Rerate: 12oz bottle again. Still too sweet and fruity, without enough hops, but certainly not something that i would turn down in a pinch. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 3, 2009 [1724-20080925] 12floz bottle. Woody malt aroma has a heavy earthy sweat and burnt resin. Clear, brown amber body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Heavy wooden earth flavour has a long dry finish. Medium-full body. Quite enjoyable. branspra (204), Arlington, Virginia, USA Jan 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours an orangish color, murky, with a large, frothy white head. Lacing is excellent. Aromas of citrus, pine, and a bit of port. Texture is creamy with a smooth, oily finish. Carbonation is very refreshing. Tastes of hops, citrus, and a bit of wood. A great beer. chops (60), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Jan 2, 2009 12oz bottle from LCBO, Great bitter flavor. Nice and dry. I am glad they started selling this here. jimmay (179), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Jan 2, 2009 12 oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours dark golden colour. Very little aroma. Nice hoppy flavour. Not over hopped like some of the extreme hop IPAs. espenra (277), Oslo, Norway Jan 1, 2009 Updated: Jan 16, 200935,5cl bottle. It poured an orange colour with a small white head. The aroma is hoppy with notes of melon and grapefruit. The flavour is also hoppy with notes of melon and grapefruit. It has a short aftertaste. fizzban (27), whitehouse, New Jersey, USA Dec 27, 2008 while ipa beers are not my style of choice i realy like this one. Verry smoth clean and refreshing.
